About Us:
BDI Marine Contractors is a growing, family-owned construction company specializing in marine and site work, including docks, seawalls, and underground utilities. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a Utilities Foreman to lead crews in the field and help keep projects running safely and efficiently.

Position Overview:
The Utilities Foreman is responsible for overseeing the installation of underground utilities including water, sewer, and storm systems. This is a hands-on leadership role—working alongside the crew while managing daily operations, safety, and production.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise utility crews in the field
• Install water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
• Read and interpret plans, specs, and grades
• Coordinate with Superintendents, operators, and subcontractors
• Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to spec
• Maintain daily reports and track production
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in the field
• Ensure proper use of equipment and materials
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in underground utilities (water/sewer/storm)
• Previous foreman or crew lead experience preferred
• Ability to read construction drawings and understand elevations/grades
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of trench safety and OSHA regulations
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with pipe installation, tie-ins, and testing
• Operating heavy equipment (excavator, loader, etc.)
• Working in wet or marine environments
